The cottage is situated in the picturesque conservation village of Blindcrake near the attractive historic market town of Cockermouth. To locate Blindcrake leave the M6 at Penrith J40.Take the A66 past Keswick to Cockermouth, then take the A595 to Carlisle. After just 4 miles take the right hand turn signposted Blindcrake, Isel and Redmain. Pass through Redmain and after just 1 mile turn right before the village green. Ghyll Yeat is the last cottage on the right hand side. We are committed to providing a high standard of accommodation and sound environmental practice. Energy saving and re-cycling are in place. There are interesting museums and a wealth of places to eat and drink. Cockermouth offers a swimming pool and leisure centre. Local information is available in the cottage. In contrast the cottage is ideally situated for the Solway coast. There are a number of interesting places to visit. These include bird reserves, Roman remains, Maritime history, museums and Maryport coast aquarium. Coastal walks and miles of cycling on quiet rural lanes.
